Dimitri
I’ve waited all year for this moment: to feel her lips against mine, to hear her mewl with need, to have her arms wrapped around my neck as her mouth opens to me, granting access to the taste I’ve craved every day since our first kiss three years ago.
Meredith.
Every cell in my body sings and the blood in my veins boils over because my need for this woman has reached a place of no return. I deepen the kiss, allowing it to consume us both.
We’re crossing a line, but neither one of us will stop it.
This kiss is everything. It’s life. It’s fire. It’s something completely out of this world, neither one of us can understand it.
The look on her face hours ago shattered me and I wanted to confess to her right then and there, but she stopped me. I hated watching her all night, knowing how the night would end for her, but there was no way I could tell her the truth. Not yet. I wanted to be alone with her when I told her everything.
When she’d gone quietly to her room, I took a breath, trying to control myself, but the moment her bedroom door closed, I couldn’t take it any longer. I had to tell her. She needed to know the truth.
I took a risk but if what she said about her feelings were true, then maybe we could find a way to make this work between us. That is, if she isn’t disappointed to discover I’m the one she’s been kissing all along.

My truth and the three fucking years of torture that went with it. But she is worth all of it.
I hadn’t planned on kissing her that first night. Hell, I hadn’t even planned on going to their damn party, but I had been sent back to the states for an emergency meeting that day and I couldn’t shake the idea of seeing her. I popped into the nearest drug store, bought the last fucking mask they had and found myself staring at her from across the room an hour later. She looked unhappy, like everything in her world was wrong, and all I wanted to do was make it right.
My feet moved before I could think it through, and it wasn’t until our lips touched that I realized what was happening. By then it was too late and I was a goner. Kissing her was the best thing that ever happened to me, and everything about it felt right.
When I pulled away, I had planned on confessing and revealing myself to her but then I spotted Alli across the room watching us, and for a moment I thought she recognized the man under the mask, and I panicked. Walking away from her that night was the
